La Buvette des Bains

The restaurant and buffet La Buvette des Bains is situated at the most popular beach for many citizens of Geneva - Bains des Pâquis. Located at the peninsula in the middle of Geneva Lake, just next to Fairmont Grand Hotel, it offers you the beautiful view on the lake, the center of Geneva and Jet d'Eau. You will get a feeling of being on the real beach and you can eat your meal anywhere on the beach (no need to sit at the table).

La Buvette des Bains is a must see place when you want to really feel the atmosphere of everyday life of people living in Geneva who are coming there daily during the lunch break to sit on the fresh air at the lake and to have a lunch, or at the evening to have a deluxe dinner.
La Bouvette des Bains open at 9am until late, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks at really good value. As the place is popular and many locals (over 100 at a time) eat here, a little queues might occur during a rush hours (lunch & dinner).

Plat du Jour

At lunch time from 11:30 you can have a very delicious lunch menu for only 14 CHF, soup for 5 CHF, beers for 4CHF in addition to other meals as well. Having a food here is not only the good value, it's also delicious and healthy.

Buffet

La Bouvette des Bains is, in fact, more a buffet then a restaurant, meaning all the foods are prepared already, You don't need to wait for Your meal. Just order it, take it and have it.

Fondue

Only from September to April, at the evening time after 6pm, restaurant La Buvette des Bains attract wide range of visitors for it's famous typical Swiss/French Fondue. Price starts at 23 CHF and because of huge popularity, request by the phone is required.

Seating

Restaurant's interior provides seating for up to 200 people, by a massive warm fireplace, seating outside (during the warm day) just as much. Outside it's popular to have a sit on a wooden flooring to enjoy the sunshine and view on the lake and lie down after the meal. Good place to meet new people or go for an informal business lunch. Many birds are singing and flying around and above the heads of the people.

Paquis Beach - Bains des Pâquis
If you want to visit the restaurant in summer season (11th. May - 11th. of September), You will be paying the daily entrance for a Paquis beach, which costs 2 CHF for adults (16+), 1 CHF for children (free for children up to 6 y.o.). For the rest of the year the beach and thus access to restaurant is for free.
